The Tips: Wordpress plugins cause CPU load/resources

Appearantly, wordpress plugin used up your CPU resources. And if you have lots of visitor, your site is going down, because your shared hosting will ban your site.
This is how to minimize the usage of CPU resource that cause so much load if you dont want to upgrade to VPS:

1. I heard “related posts”, “wp useronline” and “popularity contest” plugin is using the biggest CPU resource, so just delete it.

2. Deleted all unusded plugins. Do not keep unused and non active plugins folder exist, because i read somewhere that wp-setting.php keeps reading them that cause resource taken a lot.

3. Install caching plugin like WP Super Cache and WP Widget Cache. This two plugin can saves you a lot!

4. Always update your wordpress if there’s new update.

Hopefully it can help your site from the ban.

Wordpress: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of …

Recently, I upgrade Wordpress 2.8.0 to Wordpress 2.8.1, but whenever i want to updates page/post, it always got error, something says like this:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1634927 bytes) in /home/path/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 450

I don’t know what’s wrong because the upgrade went smoothly. So, i found a way to fix this.
1. Open wp-settings.php
2. At line 13, increase from 32M to 64M
3. Upload again, that’s all.

That error stuff is gone. Have a nice try.

Blue Screen When Playing Sims 3

If you experiencing blue screen, or freeze then crash, you should check your VGA Driver. If it’’s NVidia, then all you gotta do is updating the driver to the newest update.
I got this helpful tutorial from MTS, and after following the tutorial, my blue screen problem has dissapeared.

Here’’s the step by step:

1. Download the drivers from the here. Save them somewhere you can find them on your hard drive, like your computer’’s desktop.
2. Make sure you read any instructions on the driver download page.
3. Save any open documents and close any other running programs.
4. Go into your computer’’s Control Panel (Start – Control Panel). Double-click the System icon, and then click on the Hardware tab in the panel that comes up. Then, click on the Device Manager button.
5. In the Device Manager, click on the + next to “Display adapters” to expand that category. You should see a little monitor icon, and your graphics card listed.
6. Right-click on the entry for your graphics card and choose Uninstall. Follow the prompts to uninstall your graphics drivers.
7. You will need to restart your computer when it is finished uninstalling.
8. Once your computer comes back up you will likely get some popups and dialogs about new hardware – your computer is detecting your graphics card and that it doesn”t have drivers. Cancel any of these that come up.
9. Run the beta driver install that you saved previously.
10. Restart your computer once the new drivers are installed.
11. When it comes back up, try running the game and seeing how it performs.
