This tips is based on my experience. If you are a beginner to adsense thing and still searching in google trying to find what to do to get your adsense more clicks, this is the right article for you. I dont want to explain it in a long essay, cause this is too simple to understand. So i’m gonna make it quick.
As you know google adsense come in variety of types. Here’s what will get lots of clicks according to my experience.
- Leaderboard
put this under your header, because visitor’s eyes will be drawn to this ads first after they see your website header. And most of them will think that it is the content of your site thus they will click the top leaderboard first before they scroll down your page.
- Wide Skycraper
There’s no harm putting this wide skycrapper in your right sidebar, because people will scroll your page down and they will nor accidentally click it or they drawn into the ads because they scan it while they’re scrolling your page.
- Links
You can make your menu looks like your adsense link and put it on your top sidebar or blend the links between your menu links.
- Large Rectangle
This is the famous one, if your site is article based, blend this ads with your writing. Or if your site is graphic site based, you can put it in the middle top of your page, that’s make people see the ads before they’re finally scroll down to see your content, if they’re interested to your ads, they will click it.
So, that’s the important thing you better consider to do, and the last is my little “DONT’S” tips.
- Dont use image ads, nowadays people are blinded by those kinda ads, especially when they see 468×60 image banner. Most of the time they won’t click it because they know it is ad.
- Make the border disappear, cause without border you make your ad look less like an ad. Blends the color of your adsense with the background color of your website, people will be more comfort to click it even if they know it’s an ads. Trust me, the “Look at me” ad won’t do much for you.
The last but not least, every site has different form of layout, you must choose what’s the best adsense type for your layout. Every ads can make another different effect in different template layouts itself. Don’t hesitate to make experiments with your ads position until you get the right placement ads which will bring you more clicks=money. Good luck.
