Exercise & Work Out Can Reduce Stress
Some scientists have stated that energic physical activities such as work out or exercise can affect the chemical substance in our brain that related to our change of mood, such as dophamine, norephinephrine and serotonin. This may be the good explanation of why a lot of people claim that they feel a lot better and fresher after they exercised. Some research even stated that people who work out regularly have lesser possibilities to suffer a depression than people that don’t. Eventhough this conclusion isn’t final, a lot of doctors suggest routine exercise as a good method to reduce stress and depress.
note:
dophamine is a neuro-mediator, a transmitter substance in the central nervous system that provides reinforcement and reward. (source: http://istc.ru)
Norephinephrine is well known as the neurotransmitter responsible for
effects like the flight or fright response. This is when a scared individual’s
heart rate increases along with breathing. The muscles become activated and
ready for action. (source: http://www.macalester.edu)
serotonin is known to modulate mood, emotion, sleep and appetite and thus is implicated in the control of numerous behavioural and physiological functions. (http://www.biopsychiatry.com)
